The second episode of SHINee’s new full-length k-pop album “The Story of Light” hits number one in different charts around the world.
The title track “I Want You” also took first place not only in South Korean real time music charts but also in plenty international charts.
Several hours after release, “The Story of Light EP. 2” managed to top the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 25 countries including Denmark, Greece, Spain, Poland, Finland, Chile, Peru, Romania, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, , Kazakhstan, Slovakia, El Salvador, Estonia, the United Arab Emirates, Hongkong, Macau, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, and the Philippines.

The Korean contemporary band celebrates its 10th year in the music industry since their debut on May 25, 2008 by releasing three title tracks under three different albums.
SHINee previously dropped the 1st title track “Good Evening” under the album “The Story of Light EP. 1”
In a live broadcast during the release of “I Want You”, the members of SHINee talked to fans about their latest song.
SHINee’s youngest member (maknae), Taemin, describes “I Want You” as a fun song that matches well with the summer season in South Korea.
“The chorus in the second half of the song is addictive and the personalities of SHINee members are expressed in the colorful music video.”, says Taemin.
Minho, the group’s rapper, mentions the difference between “Good Evening” and “I Want You”, saying that the first title track was about how the fans and the public see SHINee while the second title track describes how SHINee sees themselves.
