A thrilling movie ride awaits Filipino audiences as 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival’s most-awarded film, “Seklusyon” premieres on ABS-CBN’s TV and online platforms this weekend (February 25 & 26) via the Super Kapamilya Box Office (KBO).
Fresh from its December theatrical release, “Seklusyon” will air on ABS-CBN TVplus (digital TV), ABS-CBNmobile (online), and SKY (cable TV, direct-to-home, and video-on-demand) for families to have more options to watch one of the most talked about movies of 2016.
In “Seklusyon,” aspiring priests looking for protection from evil in the last days of their training are pushed by the devil to abandon their ambitions. This classic tale of good versus evil set in post-war Philippines is starred by fast-rising male celebrity Ronnie Alonte, child actress Rhed Bustamante, and Phoebe Walker in the role she won the MMFF’s Best Supporting Actress trophy for. Lou Veloso, Elora Espano, John Vic De Guzman, Neil Ryan Sese, and JR Versales complete the cast.
The movie also garnered seven major awards in MMFF including Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Sound Design, Best Original Theme Song, and Best Supporting Actress.
Apart from “Seklusyon,” the family can also enjoy the 2015 critically acclaimed hit “Heneral Luna,” “Coming Soon,” “My Big Love,” “Not Forgotten,” and “Veronika Decides to Die.” Catch up episodes of local program Pinoy Big Brother and Myx will also be part of this weekend’s Super KBO to complete the family’s weekend movie marathon.
