A total of 37,000 doses will be allotted by the Quezon City government on Wednesday for all priority vaccinees who have yet to get their first dose of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) jab.

On Tuesday, the QC Vax Easy Plus System was opened for medical workers, senior citizens, adults with comorbidities, economic front-liners, uniformed personnel, and indigents for the September 23 activity.

The upgraded online booking system will give them the option to select their preferred time and venue.

“We hope that through this modification, we can reduce the number of defaulters or individuals who have been given slots by the city but don’t show up at the site because the time and date assigned to them won’t suit their schedule,” QC Mayor Joy Belmonte said in a statement on Monday.

Belmonte explained that Covid-19 vaccines are sensitive and jabs allocated for the day should be used up.

Registrants may either create their own QC E-Services account or log in as guests.

The guest user option, according to City Administrator Mike Alimurung, is for those who do not want to go through the process of creating an account.

However, creating an account will be useful for future transactions other than availing of vaccines.

As of Monday night, QC has already administered 3,011,659 doses, including 1,257,282 second doses. (PNA)
