Governor Amado I. Espino III will lead the opening of this year’s Pangasinan Tourism and Trade Expo (PTTE) on April 5 at the Pangasinan Training and Development Center (PTDC).
The expo, now on its 10th year, is one of the highlights of the annual Agew na Pangasinan (Pangasinan Day) and Pistay Dayat (Sea Festival) celebrations, to be held from April 5 to May 1 this year.
Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (PTCAO) chief, Ma. Luisa Elduayan, assured that the PTTE is more exciting this year as it is the first celebration under Espino III as governor.
Aside from its yearly display of various local products, the event is expected to lure more visitors with the addition of the new Capitol Food Park that will be located at the back of the Veterans Park, said Elduayan.
She said the food park will feature food stalls of popular restaurants of the province, in partnership with the Pangasinan Visitors Bureau (PVB), a non-stock, non-profit organization of tourism enterprises.
Another added attraction that will surely delight all art enthusiasts is this year’s Panag-Arte La Art Exhibit of paintings and photographs to be mounted at the PTDC.
The activity is presented by the “Liket Datek” Art Group in cooperation with the Pangasinan Lensmen.
Throughout the month-long expo, bonsai, garden and landscape aficionados shall be treated to an array of collections and landscaping designs.
The public is invited to visit the expo from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. (PNA)
