A low pressure area (LPA) was spotted 930 kilometers east of Alabat, Quezon province on Monday morning, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Administration (PAGASA) said.
The trough of the LPA will cause cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Bicol, Visayas, Zamboanga, northern Mindanao and Caraga, PAGASA added.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated rainshowers, mostly in the afternoon or in the evening.
Moderate to occasionally strong winds will blow from northwest to west over northern Luzon, and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough. Light to moderate winds will prevail over Visayas and the rest of Luzon. Coastal waters along these areas will be slight to moderate.
In Mindanao, light to moderate winds will blow from south to southwest with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
