One Sky And HBO Premiere “American Made” And “Sharp Objects”





HBO on SKY fire up its July must-watch list with the Tom Cruise-starrer “American Made” and an HBO Original Series adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s debut novel “Sharp Objects” starring Amy Adams. Viewers on One SKY get to win gadgets when they watch.

“American Made” is a Doug Liman-directed feature on the life of American pilot Barry Seal who was tapped by the CIA to fly undercover investigative missions to Central America as the US faced a growing communist threat in the region. Seal soon becomes embroiled in one of the biggest CIA operations in history that nearly toppled the Reagan administration.

The movie received wide critical acclaim for its frenetic pace, highlighted by Cruise’s energetic performance and charisma. Also in the cast are Domhnall Gleeson and Sara Wright. “American Made” premieres on July 14 at 9pm.

Meanwhile, in the new HBO Original Series “Sharp Objects,” Amy Adams plays Camile Preaker, a journalist investigating the murders of young girls in her hometown. As she digs deeper into the cases, she identifies with the victims, through her own life-scarring past.

Patricia Clarkson, Chris Messina, Eliza Scanlen, Elizabeth Perkins, and Matt Craven join Adams in this eight-part series. “Sharp Objects” premieres on July 9 at 9 AM, airing at the same time as the U.S.

Also not to be missed are 2017 DC superhero hit, “Wonder Woman” and the finale episode of “Westworld Season 2” airing at the same time as the U.S. on June 25 (Monday) at 9am.
