More farmers in North Cotabato on Monday received goats from the provincial veterinary office, in connection with its ongoing agri-livestock dispersal program.
Dr. Rufino Sorupia, provincial veterinary office chief, said the additional seventy farmer-beneficiaries are from the agricultural towns of Carmen, Antipas, Magpet, Kabacan, M’lang, Makilala, Tulunan, President Roxas and Kidapawan City.
The animal dispersal ceremony was held at the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian at the provincial capitol grounds in Barangay Amas, Kidapawan City.
Sorupia said the beneficiaries are to share the first-born of the pair of goats they received to other poor farmers for its continued breeding.
“The livestock would be closely monitored and assisted by our office on the sharing process,” Sorupia said.
On Nov. 13, more than 30 other farmers also benefited from the animal dispersal program. (PNA)
