With the theme “Beyond conventional: Tapping new geothermal frontiers,” the landmark conference seeks to expand and develop the Philippines’ potential for geothermal energy being an indigenous and sustainable resource.

The two-day meet brings together renowned international experts particularly in the field of geothermal energy, along with representatives from the Department of Energy (DOE) and other players in the sector a bid to strengthen the role of geothermal in the energy future of the country, in step with the global pivot toward sustainability to address issues such as climate change.
