Microsoft Launches Their New Lightweight Surface Go Tablet

Big things are set to come in small packages with the launch of Microsoft’s newest super-thin Surface Go tablet.

Microsoft officially announced last Monday that the 10-inch Surface Go will be the company’s latest addition to its Surface tablet line. The Surface Go will be Microsoft’s smallest Surface product yet, at just 1.15 pounds and 8.3 mm thin.

The company released a 1-minute video on YouTube introducing the new super-lightweight tablet.

Panos Panay, Chief Product Officer for the Surface said that the Surface Go is designed for a dynamic lifestyle whether at work, school, or home.

“Many of us play different roles throughout the day, moving from work or school to home and everywhere in between,” says Panay. “Our team designs every Surface to adapt to that dynamic lifestyle, to strike a balance between performance and versatility, form and function. Our products don’t do just one thing because people don’t do just one thing.” Panos said.

The Surface Go is powered by the Intel’s 7th Generation Pentium Gold Processor 4415Y, optimized for swift performance and up to nine hours of battery life.

The Surface Go tablet is set to hit the shelves on August 2.
