Floyd Mayweather denied a report where he was said to be planning a rematch with Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao, putting a stop to rumors circling around them brewing a rematch.
He has retired from the boxing industry but was teasing fans for his return.
The event that fueled the rumors about Pacquiao and Mayweather is their posts about them meeting each other in a music festival in the month of September last year. Manny Pacquiao also was holding off on a decision on signing a fight either Keith Thurman or Danny Garcia.
In January 2019, Pacquiao challenged Mayweather to a rematch after getting his WBA world welterweight title back.
Mayweather also said “Rumors, rumors, Rumors. Mayweather v Pacquiao part two is not true. If you didn’t hear it on FightHype first, then it’s not true.” So, that being the case, no rematch will be happening between Pacquiao and Mayweather.
