The city government of Manila will resume the free installation of radio-frequency identification (RFID) stickers for class 1 vehicles on Nov. 14 after it was suspended due to Super Typhoon Rolly.

Manila Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso in a Facebook post on Tuesday said the Easytrip RFID sticker drive-through installation will resume beside the Manila City Hall.

“Muli natin ilulunsad ang RFID Sticker Caravan sa Nov. 14, sa Kartilya ng Katipunan (we will relaunch the RFID Sticker Caravan on Nov. 14 at the Kartilya ng Katipunan),” his post reads.

Domagoso said those who will avail of the services must bring PHP200 for the initial load of the RFID.

He also reminded that minimum public safety standards will be strictly imposed and that everyone should wear their face masks and shields and bring their own pens.

Covid-19 testing centers

Meanwhile, Domagoso also announced that all the drive-thru and walk-in Covid-19 serology testing centers in the city of Manila have been reopened starting Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Manila’s walk-in Covid-19 testing center is located in Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center, Ospital ng Tondo, Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital, Ospital ng Sampaloc, and Ospital ng Maynila while the drive-thru testing site is stationed at the Quirino Grandstand.

Domagoso said free medical services for Manila residents remain as the top priority of the local government especially that the pandemic’s threat continues.

In his post on Wednesday, he said some 10,279 individuals have undergone free swab testing.

Moreover, the total number of individuals who have undergone the RT-PCR testing in Manila’s six district hospitals stood at 41,355. (PNA)
