Car owners with pending license plates won’t have to wait much longer to get their ride on the road.
Starting next month, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) will be releasing license plates registered from July 1 – October 31, 2016.
According to LTO Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante, the plates will be circulated to LTO Regional Offices (ROs) by batches for distribution to the District Offices (DOs). The DOs will be releasing the plates to the vehicle owners.
Galvante said that the LTO will be notifying the vehicle owners on when they can claim their license plates.
“We ask our clients to wait for their notification so they do not waste their time going to the LTO Office only to be disappointed,” Galvante added.
The LTO offially established their own plate-making facility last April 24, 2018. The plates to be released in July will be the first batch produced by the new facility.
As of June 18, a total of 387,000 pieces of motor vehicle plates have been produced.
