For Erwan Heussaff, eating healthy is more than just trying to look good and lose weight. “Most of the time, it all starts with vanity, but I always tell people whether at home or at the office, eating healthy means trying to be fit. When you eat healthy, you feel so much better. You are so much more productive in what you do and you actually enjoy doing it,” he shares.

This is the same reason why TaskUs, the world’s next-generation customer experience company behind the world’s most disruptive tech brands, created the Food Forward Program. Food Forward is one of its employee perks where employees can avail healthy balanced meals composed of brown rice, protein, and fruits or vegetables for a minimum contribution of PHP5.00. Proceeds of the project go to TaskUs teammates’ chosen charities.

Erwan’s dish – Stir-Fried Chicken on Kimchi Rice: chicken fried with garlic, ginger, sesame oil, soy sauce, and mirin; buttered Kimchi brown rice; soft boiled egg marinated in mirin and soy sauce; water spinach; and apples tossed with yogurt and honey

Surprise! It’s a soft boiled egg. Oozing yolk, yum!

Erwan recently visited TaskUs Fort Excellence in Bulacan to have a special taste test with eight TaskUs teammates. Soon, everyone in TaskUs will be able to dig into his dish as the same recipe will become part of the Food Forward menu.

He also shared that cooking for the TaskUs teammates reminded him of his work in Russia. “Cooking for large offices is always a big challenge because you have to try and please the majority of employees while providing nutritious food. This reminded me of the menu planning process we had to do, making sure that everything was balanced and healthy,” he recalls.

“I think that the Food Forward initiative is awesome and it creates a massive impact at the end of the day. It allows the employees to feel that they are actually contributing to something larger than themselves,” Erwan enthuses.

Flavors of TaskUs: Erwan Heussaff with TaskUs Fort Excellence Team

“TaskUs has a beautiful space. You can tell that it is really built to put people first, which I think not a lot of companies, especially in the Philippines, do. Workforce happiness isn’t just based on KPIs or measures that people really look into. I think employee efficiency and happiness are extremely correlated. When people see that they are being put at the forefront of everything, the office becomes an extension of their homes,” he adds.
