Singer-actress Kakai Bautista turns her misfortunes on love into an amusing collection of poetry, anecdotes, and quotes in her first book “La Na Bye,” published under ABS-CBN Books.

Formally launched at the Kapamilya Books Blowout weekend fair held at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay, “La Na Bye” is a timely nod to the current trend of individuals communicating their emotional pain online through ingenious clap backs and clever but hard-hitting responses to heartbreaks more commonly known as “hugot.”

Befittingly, the interesting new read bares the “Dental Diva’s” passionate yet quirky insights on romance (and lack thereof) through extensive, relatable verses, and “hugot” one-liners. It is divided into three parts, consisting of her poems for those too wishful in love, her compositions on why people love the ones who don’t deserve it, and her verses for the “boys who didn’t love me before.”

The new author also touches upon subjects that some people may unfortunately be well-acquainted with, such as “ghosting,” break-ups, and unrequited love.

Kakai is now one of the diverse authors under ABS-CBN Books, the publishing arm of the country’s leading media and entertainment company, ABS-CBN, which continues to bring the Kapamilya experience in print with its extensive fiction, nonfiction, movie-based, self-help, and motivational reads.

Laugh your way past a heartbreak with Kakai’s “La Na Bye” book, available online and in leading bookstores and newsstands for only P225. For updates, follow @abscbnpr on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram or visit www.abs-cbn.com/newsroom.
