Japan’s Football Team Leaves A “Thank You” Note After Their Loss

Japan may have lost their chance at a first World Cup trophy last Sunday, but they leave the tournament as champions of true sportsmanship.

In their devastating 3-2 loss to Belgium last July 1 at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, Japan’s football team made the classy gesture of cleaning their locker room spotless and leaving a “thank you” note in Russian.

Japan’s classy gesture earned the team respect from all over social media.

In addition to the players, Japanese fans in the stadium also made sure to clean up their areas after the match.

In the early stages of the game, Japan was ahead by 2 goals to none, but Belgium came from behind and won the game 3-2 at the 94′ minute mark.

Japan’s elimination will send Belgium to the quarterfinals, who will face Brazil on July 6.
