Heads up, fellow travelers! Last Wednesday, the Japanese Embassy in Manila announced that they will be easing the visa requirements for Filipino travelers who will enter Japan starting August 1, in order to promote the relationship between Japan and the Philippines.
According to the Japanese Embassy, their policies for multiple entry visas will be further relaxed as they expand the scope of eligibility for multiple-entry visa applicants going to Japan for business purposes and cultural or intellectual activities. The Embassy will also extend the five-year validity to 10 years.
The Embassy’s statement also declared that the visa’s purpose is for business purposes for the first visit but can also be used as tourist for the subsequent visits. You can find the details for the requirements and see if you are eligible here.
