Tee bested 39 other candidates after arguing that giving incentives for good environmental practices is better than penalizing bad eco habits in encouraging more people to become more environmentally conscious.
She also added that teaching communities how to fish rather than giving them fish for a day will become more sustainable as “it would become their living.”
Other winners of the night are Ana Monica Tan of Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental for Miss Philippines Air, Alexandra Dayrit of Marikina City for Miss Philippines Fire, Chelsea Fernandez of Tacloban City for Miss Philippines Water, and Karen Nicole Piccio of Maasin, Iloilo for Miss Philippines Eco-Tourism.
