90-year-old Japanese Kimiko Nishimoto has been getting a lot of attention for her fun and quirky Instagram self-portraits that she took herself.
With already almost 200,000 followers on IG, Kimiko gets more and more people to love her and her photography every day.
Our Insta-gran had no art background growing up until she finally joined a photography class that was taught by her own son Kazutami Nishimoto when she was 72 and eventually, she also learned how to use Photoshop as well.
In 2016, Kimiko published a photo book titled Hitorija-nakayo (You Are Not Alone) featuring her digital art photography collection, self-portraits, and messages as well.
Catching wide attention in Japan because of her happy and creative photos, she had her own exhibit late last year called Asobokane (Let’s Have Fun) at the Epson Imaging Gallery Epsite in Shinjuku Ward.
Kimiko also takes photos of objects around her house sometimes, aside from her iconic self-portraits that everybody enjoys.
Our Insta-gran Kimiko is a perfect example that passion doesn’t grow old. She is an inspiration for everyone to continuously enjoy life and discover new joys.
