American singer John Ford Coley and Pinoy rock band IV of Spades headline the month’s festivities.
Prepare for an amazing month as premier lifestyle mall Shangri-La Plaza goes all out in giving awe-inspiring art exhibits, gourmet strips, and remarkable concerts this August! Aside from the shopping, dining and entertainment experiences you already love, you won’t want to miss the food discoveries, furniture finds, and fine performances that await mallgoers this month.
You’ll also be able to share your favorite moments at the Shang as the mall now offers unlimited Wi-Fi access all day for guests!
The music madness at the Shang kicks off with world-famous John Ford Coley, one-half of the duo that gave us iconic soft rock ballads that we still love to sing today, like “I’d Really Love to See You Tonight,” “It’s Sad to Belong,” “We’ll Never Have to Say Goodbye Again,” and so much more. Watch and sing along favorite throwback hits as this legendary American singer conquers the stage on August 12, 7PM at the Grand Atrium!
If local funk is more your speed, breakout indie band IV of Spades will also be bringing their signature sound to the stage this month! Recently hailed as Myx Music Awards’ New Artist of the Year for 2018, IV of Spades gained massive popularity with their catchy, refreshing retro-inspired tunes like “Hey Barbara” and “Mundo”—as well as for their slick, ‘70s-inspired outfits. Get into the groove with Zild Benitez, Badjao de Castro, and Blaster Silonga as they rock the Shang on August 25, 7PM at the Grand Atrium.
After some cool musical jams, embark in an extraordinary gastronomic experience in a series of foodie fairs at the Shang this August. Mall guests can discover unique local finds in Urban Pod Fair from August 3 to 5 at the East Atrium. Then, from August 24 to 26, come and enjoy good food from local farmers, organic food producers, and chefs in Garden Gourmet at the Food Forum. (In case you miss it then, this all-green foodie fair returns from August 31 to September 2.)
Gearheads will surely drive fast to the Shang this August as three luxury car labels — Mercedes Benz, Jeep, Land Rover and Jaguar are set to take their wheels inside the premier shopping destination. Sophisticated car aficionados can drool over a wide-range collection of high-end coaches, all happening the mall’s Luxury Lane. Mark your calendars as Shang presents the Mercedes Benz Exhibit from August 3 to 15, the Jeep Exhibit from August 17 to 29, and Jaguar and Land Rover Exhibit from August 31 to September 12.
If you feel like painting the town on August 4, then head over in Sakura: Coloring the Future by National Bookstore at the Grand Atrium for a fun and creative activity to satisfy all your artistic hunger!
Coming up from August 10 to 12 and August 17 to 19, check out stirring artworks, handcrafts, and heavenly food selection in Artisan Fair at the Food Forum. You can also take a pick from the well-curated collection of unique local novelties in Urban Pod Fair on August 30 to September 2.
Walk through Shang’s Home Exhibit from August 15 to 23 at the Grand Atrium and get inspired to revamp your home with a sophisticated vibe! Then, explore unique urban finds in Articraft de Charite from August 24 to 26 at the East Atrium.
Immerse in some art at the Astrologist Gallery Exhibit from August 11 to 21 at the East Atrium.
Finally, Shang doesn’t want you to leave your beloved dogs behind, so bring them over because it’s Waggy Welcome! Your furry friends are allowed to roam around the mall with you, as long you present a proof of anti-rabies vaccination and keep them leashed with you at all times.
Whether you are a laidback music enthusiast, a hippie artsy or an adventurous foodie, Shang definitely has a phenomenal plethora of different events that would make anyone feel right at home.
