“Game of Thrones” stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie made a wedding announcement through their local newspaper Times in England. The announcement read “MR K.C. Harington and Miss R.E. Leslie” under “Forthcoming Marriages”.
The couple, who played on-screen lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte in the HBO series became close on the hit show on 2012 and only went public about their relationship last year. According to Harington, the romance between the two of them began on set when they were shooting in Iceland for GoT’s season 2.
In an interview, Kit said that those weeks in Iceland were his favorite of the series because the beautiful country is where he “fell in love”. “If you’re already attracted to someone, and they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love”, said the GoT star in an interview referring to Rose Leslie.
As per the soon-to-be bride, she said that “it was such a privilege to be working opposite him”. She sees their real-life relationship as a blessing because it makes their characters more believable.
Their relationship announcement back in April 2016 made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Oliver Awards in London.
