The local government of Taguig City urged its residents to avail of its “Libreng Hatid at Sundo Para sa Mga May Sakit” program while the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine is still in effect.

Dialysis patients, those undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy, senior citizens, pregnant women or persons with disabilities, and other patients who need medical treatment even when they are not emergency cases, are among those who can avail of the transport services.

“To avail the transport services, text the hotline number 0961-734-0834 two days before the scheduled session or checkup. The hotline is available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.,” Taguig said in a Facebook post.

The patient should indicate his/her name, contact number, address including the pickup point and nearest landmark, time of checkup, venue of checkup (which hospital, health center or clinic), and proof of the medical appointment in the message.

“The service is on a first-come, first-served basis,” the statement added.

The initiative was implemented by the Taguig local government to help local residents who require medical attention in the hospital, whether in Taguig or in other areas in Metro Manila.

Meanwhile, the local government also encouraged residents to report any coronavirus-related concerns or emergencies.

Residents can contact the Covid-19 hotline numbers 8-789-3200 or 0966-419-4510.

For those with non-Covid emergencies, they may contact 0917-550-3727. (PNA)
