Starting from breakdancing in the streets of San Francisco, acting in theaters in LA to guesting in some TV roles, The Basco Brothers are back as main characters in their new romantic comedy-drama film “The Fabulous Filipino Brothers” that premiered on Netflix PH last Wednesday, November 17.

It is an Asian-American story of four brothers who lived in Pittsburg, California. Before they reunite for a wedding, they will experience different events that challenge their beliefs on family, love and culture.

“The Fabulous Filipino Brothers” is Dante Basco’s directorial debut. He is best known for his voice acting roles as Prince Zuko (Avatar: The Last Airbender) and Jake Long (American Dragon: Jake Long).

“It’s my first time directing, but we’re 35-year veterans of Hollywood and almost everything we’ve done in this town has led us up to doing this movie, right now,” Dante Basco said during an interview with From the Intercom.

It was written by Darion, Dionysio and Dante and is narrated by their sister, Arianna Basco.

Starring Dante Basco as Dante, Derek Basco as Dayo, Darion Basco as Danny Boy, and Dionysio Basco as David. Together with other Asian actors and actresses – Arianna Basco, Liza Lapira, Solenn Heusaff, Cheryl Tsai, Joey Guila and Tirso Cruz III.

The Fabulous Filipino Brothers will be available in the US on February 8, 2022. As of writing, the film is top #7 in the Philippines today on Netflix.
