The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), through the Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs, continued to bring home distressed Filipinos from Qatar.

The latest batch of repatriates, consisting of 312 overseas Filipinos, arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 via Philippine Airlines flight PR 685 on Friday, the department said in a news release.

The 312 repatriates underwent the appropriate medical protocols upon arrival as required by the Department of Health – Bureau of Quarantine.

They would also be required to undergo quarantine based on the omnibus guidelines established by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

The whole-of-nation approach to repatriation involves the DFA, which is coordinating with the Philippine Coast Guard, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Department of Tourism, Department of Health, and the Philippine National Police. (PNA)
