Daniel Craig Back On Bond 25 Set

Daniel Craig, who has been portraying the British secret service agent since 2006’s “Casino Royale”, was injured on set of the next Bond franchise while shooting in Jamaica earlier this year. This resulted in production being halted momentarily as the 51 year-old actor was sent to the U.S. for X-rays followed by a minor ankle surgery. One can say this is just another addition to the actor’s collection of memories being hospitalized for injuries while portraying the special agent. Craig has had at least one injury in all of the Bond films he has currently participated in.

Nevertheless, just recently, the movie’s official Instagram account has finally updated fans with an image of Craig back in the gym as he works out with a visible leg cast in re-preparation for the continuance of shooting the awaited movie.

The Instagram post came with the caption: “#007 Daniel Craig hitting the gym hard @pinewoodstudios, prepping for shooting next week! #Bond25 📷@gregwilliamsphotography”

“Bond 25”, so named for being the 25th installment in the franchise, has James Bond already off active service and residing in Jamaica. When long-time friend Felix Leiter (played by Jeffrey Wright) comes asking for help, agent 007 finds himself thrown back into the world of espionage once more.

Also expected to return are the characters of M (Ralph Fiennes), Eve Moneypenny (Naomie Harris), Dr. Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux), Q (Ben Whishaw) and Bill Tanner (Rory Kinnear) with newcomer to the franchise Rami Malek expected to play the movie’s new Bond villain.

This also marks Cary Joji Fukunaga (Sin Nombre, Jane Eyre and co-screenwriter for IT) taking on the reigns of directing the Bond movie after original director Danny Boyle left four months before the initial start of set production back in 2018. Boyle left due to creative differences.

“Bond 25” is set to be released on April 3rd, 2020 in the United Kingdom.
