Cathay Pacific committed an accidental mistake as one of its newly painted plane was discovered missing the letter “F” from its name on the side.
A Boeing 777-367 was fresh from its paint job when photos of spelling error were seen on the Hong Kong Aviation Discussion Board (HKADB) on Facebook.
This made Cathay Pacific address the matter immediately by posting a lighthearted tweet that says, “Oops this special livery won’t last long! She’s going back to the shop!”

Although the error was taken lightly by some, a few were not amused, as they became perplexed as to how a mistake happened.
The typo on the plane is likely to be expensive and would cost thousands of dollars to be fixed. Good thing Cathay Pacific handled the situation well.
