Canada, U.K., U.S. Raise Warning To Citizens Traveling To Palawan

Amidst the global security issues, countries such as Canada, U.K. and U.S. have raised a warning to their citizens against traveling to Palawan because foreign nationals are said to be the target of terrorist groups according to ‘credible information’.

Furthermore, the U.S. Embassy suggested to take safety measures when traveling to Palawan especially in Puerto Princesa City and other areas around the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park.

The U.K. also recommended its citizens to carefully consider their travel plans and exercise heightened vigilance in the said areas. Meanwhile, Canada alerts all travels to the Sulu Archipelago and through the Southern Sulu Sea including the waters off Southern Palawan Island.

Nonetheless, authorities from the famous tourist spot assures that proper precautionary measures are being implemented to secure the visitors’ safety.
