The supply of blood in Pangasinan remains sufficient, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) said.
Flora Mae Magalong, PRC Pangasinan Chapter Administrator, assured Monday that their blood inventory remains at 120 units per day, sufficient enough to respond to the needs of those who are in need.
Magalong said in case there is blood shortfall in the PRC units in Dagupan, Urdaneta and Alaminos cities, they can readily source out blood from the nearest PRC chapters in La Union, Tarlac, Pampanga and even Metro Manila.
Pangasinan, she said, is supplying the needs for blood of neighboring PRC chapters.
Magalong said there is no oversupply or overstocking of blood in the PRC Pangasinan chapter.
PRC Pangasinan is conducting a regular blood collection program with Local Government Units (LGUs), civic and corporate organizations as well as groups that assured more blood units for the chapter.
Magalong thanked all donors whose blood they regularly donate to the PRC is saving lives. She encouraged others to do the same. (PNA)
