Isa sa mga Star Magic Queen’s na si Bea Alonzo ay namaalam na sa Star Magic matapos hindi nag-renew ng contract nitong October 2020. Ngunit sa kabila nito, wala namang narinig na komento mula sa mga Big Bosses ng ABS-CBN ukol sa desisyon ng aktres.

Si Bea ay naging bahagi ng Star Magic simula pa noong 2001, at ngayong ika-19 na taon niya na, opisyal na itong nagbitiw sa talent management ng Star Magic at tuluyang nang nagpasakop sa bago nitong talent manager na si Shirley Kuan.

Ang Star Magic ay matagal ng kaagapay ng ABS-CBN sa paghulma ng kanilang mga artista, In fact, ang Star Magic ay kinabibilangan ng mahigit 300 na artista mula teenager hanggang sa mga beteranong aktres at aktor, at nanatiling itong buo at patuloy pa rin sa pagpapasikat ng mga artista sa industriya.

Ngunit, hindi nangangahulugan na ang A-lister na mga artista ay nagmula lahat sa management ng Star Magic. Tulad lamang nina Vice at Sarah na mula sa Viva Artists Agency Inc., habang ang iba naman ay nagmula sa kanilang sariling talent manager na hindi kabilang sa mga kilalang Talent Manager Group o Talent Agency.

Ang huling palabas ni Bea under Star Cinema ay ang Unbreakable na pinangunahan rin nina Angelica Panganiban, Richard Gutierrez, at Ian Veneracion noong November 2019, na pumatok sa mga viewers dahil sa natural na build-up characters na ginampanan ng mga ito.

Wala na mang issue dito ang ABS-CBN sa pagbitiw ng aktres sa Star Magic sapagkat may tiwala pa nga rito ang network na mabibigyan ang aktres ng parehong atensiyon at pag-aalaga tulad ng ginawa ng Star Magic kay Bea upang mas lalo pang mapalago ang career nito.

Sa kabila ng isyu, naghatid ng pahayag si Kuan sa ABS-CBN at sabi, “The process of this transition has been low key, peaceful and respectful on both sides,” at dagdag pa niya, “It’s also timely, coinciding with Thanksgiving Day. Bea and I will always be grateful to ABS-CBN.”

Ayon naman sa media giant na mananatili pa rin na mang Kapamilya ang aktres at tatanggap pa rin ito ng projects mula sa Star Cinema.
