Ayala Malls and transportation app Uber have partnered to ease commuting experience within the central business districts (CBDs) of Ortigas, Makati, and Bonifacio Global City (BGC) during rush hours.
Ayala Malls The 30th General Manager Mariana Zobel de Ayala and Uber Philippines Communication head Cat Avelino launched Monday the tie up of uberHOP with Ayala conglomerate’s newest community mall in Ortigas CBD, marking the first partnership between the two companies.
uberHOP is the predetermined routes service of Uber.
Through the partnership, commuters can travel from Ortigas to Makati and BGC, as well as BGC to Ortigas from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. via uberHop routes:
▪Ayala Malls The 30th to The Landmark in Makati;
▪Ayala Malls The 30th to High Street at 7th Avenue, BGC; and
▪Net Quad at 31st Street, BGC to Ayala Malls The 30th.
These routes have flat rate of Php 70.
Avelino said that Uber had 21 active routes for uberHOP.
“We hope to getting more rides here at Ayala Malls The 30th,” she added.
On the other hand, Zobel de Ayala said the partnership with Uber was in line with the Ayala Malls’ Easy Ride project — providing convenient access to shoppers to various mode of public transportation from any Ayala Malls.
“We want to provide reliable transportation options for our shoppers, which is why we pursued this partnership with the world’s leading ridesharing app,” Zobel de Ayala said.
“Through uberHOP service shoppers can easily get to and from Ayala Malls The 30th and other central business districts, with the peace of mind that they are safe and that they are conscentiously helping ease traffic in the metro by sharing a ride,” she added.
