Subdivision developer Fiesta Communities launched here on Saturday new model housing units with workers of the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) as its target customers.
The housing units, some situated beside a brook, are located in barangay Balon Anito in this town where mountain ranges are seen from a distance.
It is the second in Bataan after Limay town and the 17th project of Fiesta Communities in Luzon.
“Our market study showed that there are more people in Mariveles who are renting. So, we package our units that are cheaper as compared to monthly rentals,” said Gene Ryan Bautista, Fiesta Communities regional manager.
Bautista said based on their study, 60 percent of FAB workers are renting, prompting for great demand in housing.
Latest report showed that there are 34,000 workers connected with 136 multinational companies operating in FAB.
The housing units in Fiesta Communities -Mariveles range from PHP450,000 to PHP1.4 million. For the PHP450,000 unit, the monthly amortization is PHP2,800 payable in 30 years.
He said their Mariveles project initially has 18 hectares but was increased to 25 hectares.
“We are targeting to make a township project from 50 to 70 hectares. It will be a full-pledged community,” Bautista said.
Meanwhile, he said projects in the towns of Hermosa and Abucay and the City of Balanga are already in the pipeline.
“Fiesta Communities is aggressive in Bataan because we saw that there is a need for housing, for socialized housing in the area,” he said.
On its 10th year, Fiesta Communities has built more or less 4,000 housing units with 70 percent completed and the rest ongoing, he said.
“We are targeting 10,000 housing units in Luzon,” Bautista said. (PNA)
