Every year, Pantone releases their color of the year, which serves as a mood-board if you may, of the palette inspiration in the coming months. Last year’s Rose Quartz certainly hit many clothing stores and was not only a frequent pop of color design-wise but even in the field of fashion. Pantone’s approach for 2017 however traces back to our roots, the beauty of greenery.

With a medley of olive and bright green, the calming and soothing tone creates the perfect canvas for a fresh slate come January. Check out the five ways of how to incorporate the shade of greenery into your sense of style:

1. Staple Piece

Build your wardrobe around a staple greenery piece, if the shade of green is a bit much for you, try to go for one that is a bit more cool toned. Because the shade of green is so calming, it soothes well for loose-fitting and pleated pieces such as a pleated palazzo. Match it with equally cooling shades such as a white top. Be experimental with your footwear by opting for patterns with green pops of color. Then keep it in contrast by opting for a metallic sling bag.
