Around 2,000 job opportunities from government and private entities in Ilocos Norte would be available during the “Career Week” from Sept. 11 to 17, in celebration of the 104th anniversary of the late former president Ferdinand Marcos.

In a statement Wednesday, Ilocos Norte Public Employment Service Office (PESO) manager Anna Marie Lizette Atuan said the “Career Week” aims to provide more jobs and training opportunities for displaced workers or those who were greatly affected by the pandemic.

“Aside from private companies, other local government units, as well as national government agencies, have also vacant positions waiting for the right applicant,” she said.

In compliance with health and safety protocols, applicants may register at the official online job portal of Ilocos Norte at workin.ilocosnorte.gov.ph where various job offerings are posted daily.

In partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, other livelihood training opportunities are also available for interested applicants, particularly those who are hardly affected by the pandemic.

Since the start of the pandemic, the Ilocos Norte government, in partnership with public and private organizations, continues to provide employment assistance and trainings to displaced workers including out-of-school youth and students. (PNA)
