The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Thursday said 10 more overseas Filipinos recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in Europe and the Middle East, raising the number of recoveries to 6,915.

The recoveries in Europe are now pegged at 942 while those in the Middle East rose to 4,307. The figures in the Asia Pacific and the Americas stand at 1,200 and 466, respectively.

No new fatalities were reported by the DFA on the same day, with the death toll at 800.

Some 12 new confirmed cases, meanwhile, were registered in the Asia Pacific and Europe, which brings to 10,861 the total number of new cases abroad.

As of this posting, there are 3,146 active cases among Filipino nationals overseas, at least 500 are undergoing treatment in the Asia Pacific, 168 in Europe, 2,312 in the Middle East/Africa, and 166 in the Americas.

“The DFA shall continue to keep track of the status of overseas Filipinos and stands ready to assist and facilitate repatriations, whenever possible,” the DFA said. (PNA)
